Copper nickel alloys are used in industrial condensers, heat exchangers, evaporating equipment and marine applications where their resistance to a wide range of chemicals leads to durability and protection against contamination. These alloys maintain strength and resist corrosion in challenging environments, outperforming many traditional metals in demanding service conditions and elevated temperatures. 70-30 Copper-Nickel is preferred to 90-10 copper nickel where corrosion resistance and service conditions are more demanding. The alloy’s excellent weldability, fabricability, and resistance to biofouling further enhance reliability in harsh service. Contact us for more information. Marmetal stocks a vast inventory in many shapes and sizes, including sheet, plate, bar, and tube.

Bronze is copper that has been primarily alloyed with tin. Other elements found in bronze can include arsenic, phosphorus, aluminum, manganese, and silicon. Bronze is characterized by its dull-gold color.

Brass is copper that has been primarily alloyed with zinc. Different brass alloys contain varying amounts of zinc and other elements. The differences in zinc content result in a wide range of properties, including and variations in color, strength, ductility and corrosion resistance. Brasses can range in color from warm reddish-gold tones through bright yellow.
